Frequently Asked Questions
How many cameras do I need?
Camera count follows access points, not floor area: doors, window elevations, the garden entrance, the safe and stock areas. During the survey we look at blind spots and lighting, then plan the placement that covers the most with the fewest cameras. Selling you the largest possible system is not the goal.
How long are recordings kept?
Retention depends on camera count, resolution and disk size. Fifteen to thirty days is typical for a home installation. If you need longer, we size the disk accordingly during the survey.
Does recording stop if the internet goes down?
No. Recording is written to the disk inside the recorder and does not depend on the internet. The connection is only needed for remote viewing and notifications; the system keeps recording throughout an outage.
